1001 Pots

1001 Pots is a Pottery show that has been taking place in Quebec for the past 28 years. It’s a colloection of a number of artists in a beautiful setting in Val David, a little north of Montreal.

A summer focal point for ceramic enthusiasts, 1001 Pots invites you to its 28th edition! Embedded in the sylvan beauty of the Laurentians, in the heart of the charming village of Val-David, the exhibition presents the excellence of contemporary Quebec ceramics. Deployed on our magnificent site, the works of the artisans come in all genres and formats, assembled by creator or by thematic exterior and interior sections (garden, kitchen, table, tea, sculptures, jewelry, children’s works, sculpture, decoration, collector’s items, etc.), to help you discover the wonders of local artisans. And give you the opportunity to acquire them!

1001 Pots increases the opportunities to discover the world of ceramics in more detail and to interact with creators. They welcome you on the evening of the opening to inaugurate the event. Every day, a different artisan presents their work. Filming demonstrations, contests and competitions enliven the weekends, putting talents to work to provide, among other things, bowls for the “Bol en shared” organization. You can also appreciate the work of our artist in residence in real time. Does all this whet your appetite? Sign up for the one-week adult filming class! Are your children itching to be curious? Sign them up for the shaping workshop while you wander around leisurely.

1001 Pots is renowned for the beauty of its site and the refinement of its green teas. Treat yourself to a moment of grace by enjoying a tea in the Moss Garden, the Zen Garden, or the Secret Garden. The intimate alliance between the art of tea and ceramic art is also revealed by the competition exhibition presented in partnership with the Camellia Sinensis tea house. To complete this bouquet in style, follow the Flower Path and attend the traditional Ikebana exhibition, the quintessence of floral art. The mineral enclosure of the Silica Garden is also imbued with culture, welcoming tales, musical and poetic performances.
